Abstract
Sherwin Sweeting, age 19 years, and Natalia Sands, 17, have known each other since primary school. They began hanging out when Natalia was 13 years old and Sherwin was 15. They saw each other a lot at school, church youth events, and the recreation center. Although they frequently gathered in groups of other young people, they often paired off to go to the beach, where they would talk and “make out.” At 16 years of age, Sherwin quit high school to begin his career in crawfishing. He was fortunate to get with one of the good boats that consistently does well during fishing season.
