Abstract
As a member of the Pennsylvania Green Growth Partnership (PAGGP), the Center for Sustainable Communities at Temple University (CSC) has conducted a study in Philadelphia‟s lower-income neighborhoods with the following two primary objectives: Analyze the issues of community food insecurity and hunger in the City of Philadelphia Analyze the contribution of community gardens, urban farms, and Community Based Organizations (CBOs)/ Community Development Corporations (CDCs)in providing fresh food access and alleviating food insecurity and hunger
