This periodical, the formal name of which was AMAZWI AMAHLE / GOOD WORDS, was published from June 1957 through May 2007 by the Brethren in Christ Church in Africa. The periodical reported on the life of the Brethren in Christ denomination in Africa. Articles appeared either in English or in the vernacular such as Tonga and Ndebele.
The initial issues were published by the Brethren in Christ Church in Africa (at that time, the Brethren in Christ Church was located in both Northern Rhodesia and Southern Rhodesia).
With the September 1977 issue, the periodical noted it was published by the Brethren in Christ Church in Rhodesia. The June 1980 issue marked the country’s change in name from Rhodesia to Zimbabwe.
