Abstract
Sounding Joy—----------------------------------------------------------------------------Gwyneth Walker
Gwyneth Walker (b. 1947) is one of the most performed female composers of the late twentieth century and early twenty-first century. As of 2003, her choral works number nearly one hundred. Walker has lived in many parts of the country but feels especially drawn to the rural areas of New England, having grown up on a dairy farm. She credits her father, who was an inventor, for her inspiration to compose from an early age.
