Abstract
The objective of this project is to develop plans to create a proposed small business, as well as design and produce the products to be sold, and participate in my first sale off campus.The project consists of a paper, a body of work, and showing that work at a craft fair. The craft fair takes the place of a gallery exhibition. I chose to explore this topic because I am very interested in creating pottery and selling my work, so I could continue this business after graduating from college.
This business will be a small business owned by myself, where I both run the business and create the products for it. I will be designing, producing, and selling functional ceramics for the home, as well as a few other handmade items. To achieve this, I will conduct a survey to interview local potters who own a small business and ask them about the details of owning a small business. I will also write a business plan, design a limited line of ceramics and then produce them to sell
