Comments
The videos in this collection mark a collaboration between the Center for Public Humanities at Messiah University and the Pennsylvania Past Players of the T. Morris Chester Welcome Center and Research Collection at the McCormick Riverfront Library. The Pennsylvania Past Players are a project of the IIPT Commonwealth Monument Project and its fiscal agent, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities. The item is part of a broader collaborative initiative, “The Chester Way: Stories of Freedom, Equity, and Justice in Pennsylvania’s Capital Region,” which centers around the 'way' of Thomas Morris Chester, the highly respected Black journalist, soldier, lawyer, and civil rights proponent in the U.S. and wider world in the 19th century.
